Play Hard, Work Hard

I know what you are thinking. It makes no sense to put play first and then work, but you are totally wrong. I took a trip last week with some friends. It was a “last-minute, book my flight at midnight, fly out the next day,” kind of trip. Of course we had fun, did a lot, saw a lot, drank a lot, and laughed a lot, but more importantly, came back with a new outlook and approach. It’s been a while since I’ve delved into my photography and not come up for air. And that’s what I’ve been doing since I came back. Traveling and seeing other places lets you see things in a new light. It’s the best thing you can do for your photography, work, relationships, and outlook on life. Get out there, travel, and come back refreshed. Then work your ass off. Play hard, work harder…
