Photography Business
Creating relationships is the number one aspect of managing a photography business. I was talking to a colleague the other day that just quit his “Real” job back in June to become a freelance shooter. He wanted to know what the “secret” is…
Truth be told. There is no secret. The best advice I can give is to hold strong to your work, but approach it as a business and not a hobby. Only produce the work you want people to see and work hard on creating those relationships. Sometimes it takes years to get your foot in the door, but don’t just put it on cruise control then. Always give options to your client and go out of your way to make them understand you want the best for them because at the end of the day, it’s your name on the work and you want the best for yourself and your photography business.
So hold strong to your work, keep shooting, and create those relationships.
